Llyn Peninsula

The Llyn Peninsula includes the area west of  Chwil0g on its southern coast, and west of  Trefor on the northern coast. It includes Pwllheli, Abersoch, Aberdaron, and Nefyn. However for convenience, I have also included Criccieth and Dinas Dinlle.

The resort of Abersoch is popular with the sailing community. The first 4 pictures below show the beach tractors at work taking and fetching boats across the beach to the water. The next 4  show a sailing event in May 2004.

The next group of pictures show the northern coast of Llyn. The first is  Dinas Dinlle, looking down the coast towards Nefyn. The last is Nefyn, looking up the coast towards Dinas Dinlle. The two centre pictures were taken on Dinas Dinlle beach late on a May 2004 afternoon. The previous week, the coast was shrouded in thick sea mist.

The next group of pictures show the beach at  Criccieth, the Lifeboat station, and the  May 2004 Criccieth street market, followed by a picture of the church at Llanystumdwy.

The final group of pictures of Pwllheli were taken mainly on a bright November afternoon in 2004 when the sun was low in the sky. The first picture was taken on a dull morning in March 2004.
