Lake Magiore

Lake Magiore is the second largest lake in Italy,and is 68 metres in length.

The town of Stresa, with a population of approx 5000, is located towards the north west of the lake, and is on the main railway route to the Simplon pass. Ferries run between Stresa and the Boromean Islands.

Baveno is located a few miles north of Stresa .It is a small town with cobbled streets and a Norman Castle.
