| Our first port of call, on Sunday 12th July 2009, was Zeebrugge. Here we had the option of taking a coach and spending the day at Brussels, or at Bruges, the latter being famous for it's canals and fine buildings, and often referred to as "Venice of the North". | Initially, the weather was overcast, with no sign of the sun. But at lunchtime the sun appeared. We explored the city, had a boat trip around the canals, a light meal, and returned to our coach for the short journey back to Zeebrugge. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
