Florence & Pisa

FLORENCE

FLORENCE is the Capital City of the Italian region of Tuscany. It has a population of approximately 365,000, and lies on the Arno River. The city is renowned for it's artistic heritage and culture, and has many fine buildings. The jewel of the city is the domed Cathedral. We arrived at Florence later than expected, and our time there was limited. The photos below were taken in haste, before we continued to Pisa, our final destination of the day.

PISA

PISA is city in Tuscany, central Italy, at the mouth of the River Arno. I has a population of approximately 90,000 and is famous for it's Architectural masterpieces, notably the Plazz del Miracoli, the Cathedral, and the leaning Bell Tower (The Leaning Tower of Piza). Our visit was in the late afternoon. We then returned by coach to our ship at Naples.
