Geneva

 
     
   The city of Geneva is situated at the south western end of Lake Geneva, where the lake flows in to the River Rhone. The population of the urban and commercial areas is 960,000. It's economy is based on the finance and service industries, and many International companies have their headquarters there. It is the seat of the European Headquarters of the United Nations. It's most popular landmark is the Jet d'eau, the 140 metre high water jet in the lake close to the shorelines.
